Photograph by Alan Hunter, Northern Exposures In the Craftshop we stock a wide range of woodturned items and can offer advice on their use, care and general properties.

Many of the products are intended for domestic use and we offer a selection of desirable but difficult to find wooden kitchenware, such as:

pestles and mortars
large diameter platters
boards
fruit and salad bowls

Not everything needs an obvious function, but it may look and feel good, like the apples and pears (left) in a range of attractive local woods, or the expressive and desirable natural topped bowls (right).

It's not all wooden items ~ the craftshop also stocks locally handmade craftwork including willow baskets, pottery, weaving, jewellery, candles and stationery (see right).

We want you to be happy with any purchase you make and if it is a present for a wedding, birthday or any special event we can pyrograph names and dates on virtually any piece of woodware in a few minutes, for a very small donation to the Practical Action charity box.
